Hopefully it doesn’t ruin our memory of this entire trip. We have a few days left to go at WDW, and now I doubt we will be able to get the kids on as many of the rides as we had hoped. Mission Space ruined an otherwise great day at the parks. They got on Guardians since we had already reserved it, but refused to do Soarin’ We actually got in line for that but as soon as we got in and they saw the seats, our youngest started panicking and we had to leave. We had to reassure them over and over that we hated the ride, too, and nothing else would be as awful as that. Why does Disney have a ride like this? Had I read that outside the ride, I would have never gotten in line.Īfterwards, our kids were furious that we “made” them ride it and neither wanted to ride anything else for the rest of the day, for fear it would be like that. I did see after the fact that people with high blood pressure shouldn’t ride (which I do have, though it is treated), so now I feel lucky that I really didn’t get sick or worse. I don’t see how anyone would find it fun, unless they like the feeling of being nauseous and on the brink of losing consciousness. It was the most physically uncomfortable experience I’ve ever had on a ride. Explore our comprehensive air and missile defense systems, special mission aircraft, and Unmanned Aerial System (UAS) solutions for intelligence, surveillance. There is a lot of motion, but the G forces are really what put me over the edge. The G forces made us feel sick and lightheaded. By the time they locked the harnesses down, our youngest was terrified and in tears. This didn’t bother me, but would some people. I was hoping it was exaggerated for the “story”. But when you’ve gotten that far, you feel awkward leaving. By the time we got on the ride, we were already nervous and having second thoughts because of all of the warnings during the intro video. Not really realizing what this was, he wanted to do Mars (orange), and there were warnings listed about it being intense, but with children in line, we thought “how bad could it be?” It was bad. I will never again get on a ride without researching it first. Our family of four (two adults and two kids ages 10 & 15) was looking to kill some time before our Cosmic Rewind reservation, and this ride is right next to it.
